The eternal light is out. I went into the church last night and it was no longer lit. I am not sure what that means but I am sure it is not a good thing. I can verify that the Virgin Mary uses it to light her cigarettes, so at the very least, that is going to be a problem. (Shh! Jesus doesn’t know she smokes)
One of the things that my parents and friends have that I do not is cable television. I missed out on all the terrible reality television shows that there are in the world but I have something that my friends and family do not: a trashy neighborhood. If I shut the air conditioner off and crack the windows I can have any number of trashy reality shows – simultaneously – and it is the best during the summer.
Colleen and I were talking about how New Yorkers and in general people in the Atlantic Northeast are incredulous all the time. They are mad at people and feel it is imperative to tell people off all the time – because People Are Wrong! I have decided, and I have always knowing this, that politeness is rude because it is essentially dishonest.
More on honesty - I am also irritated at CVS Pharmacy of Stepford. My sister and I went to the scary supermarket across the street from CVS because Scary Mart is less expensive than Stop & Shop – especially with the “sell by Saturday” products that have been marked down. Unfortunately, Scary Mart does not take coupons so my sister – who had a coupon for something free – and I went to CVS afterwards. I also had a gift card for CVS.
I do not have a pile of money so there are things that are extras until I have moved to Texas. One of them is soda. They had a sign up at the CVS for a mail-in rebate. If you bought four packages of soda, saved your receipt and mailed in the form the soda company would send you ten dollars. This made the soda half off and since I had a gift card, my sister and I decided to buy the soda. The promotion ended last week.
I cannot be expected to read the fine print in the store; if the promotion is one week-old it should also be taken down. I feel like CVS deceived me and I will be sending them a strongly worded letter, as well as one to the White Star Line.
Jesus doesn't know that I smoke either! And neither does my mom!

That always happens to me at CVS too! And thanks for the tip on Friendly's lo-carb ice cream. I didn't know they made one. As far as good for HIS health. He works outside all day doing physical stuff. I'm not sure he wants to do *more* exercise for fun ..lol! (but I'm hoping!)
