Tomorrow, I will travel into New York City to have dinner with my friend Marie, however one of the lamer parts of being a teacher is catching any illness they are sharing amongst themselves in the classroom. I have no idea what I have this week my symptoms are fever, drowsiness, and an incredible appetite. Irritability comes standard. I hope to have this kicked by tomorrow morning – we have class pictures tomorrow and I do want to look as if I were drug behind a truck to school and I am meeting a friend.
I had hoped to be able to diet a little harder than I have been before class pictures. Last year, when the graduates received their yearbooks one of the commented, “Damn, Mr. S., you were fat!” I would like to avoid a repeat of that event since “Your forehead just keeps getting bigger!” is beyond my control. I write this while simultaneously delighting in a caramel sundae.
I have to write for my Graduate Class and introduce myself to the rest of the kids there. This is painfully cheesy. I will post my introduction when it is finished.
I like cheesy! (but introducing yourself in a class is very trite) Not your fault though, you are being forced.
